Allspice (whole)

Allspice is a delicous warming slightly bitter spice used in baking and cooking. It got it's name centuries agao as it was reminicent of a combination of spices such as cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and pepper. It is actually the dried unripened berry of a Pimento dioica tree.
